A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:27 a.m. last Wednesday, June 21, has claimed the life of a Montgomery man.
William M. Romanowski, 19, was critically injured when the 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Romanowski was transported to Russell Medical Center in Alexander City, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 259 near the 1-mile marker, approximately one mile north of Equality, in Coosa County. Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
