Central Elementary kicked off its free summer learning camps this week, which included a literacy camp, a math camp and a STEM camp. After working hard on their lessons students get to enjoy special activities.
Thank you to Ms. Bee for sharing pictures of Color Wheel Spinner for STEM activity. Pictured is Ella Ferdin creating her spectroscope, similar to the one created by Issac Newton, to demonstrate that seven colors actually create white light.
Also pictured are Ella’s classmates testing the color wheel.
Thank you to Mrs. Compher for sharing pictures of the students enjoying the pool at Poplar Point and games in the gym.
Thank you; Mrs. Shannon White, the Extension site coordinator for STEM; who shared a picture of the students showing off the ice cream they made.
It is great to see the students having fun while learning during the summer.
