The Lake Martin Area United Way is excited to be heading to Central Elementary School Coosa County on Friday, July 14, for the annual Day of Action.
United Way is looking for volunteers and sponsors for this annual event which helps area schools get ready for the upcoming school year.
United Way has a variety of projects, inside and outside, at Central Elementary, and the more volunteers they can get the more they can do! Lake Martin Area United Way is asking individuals to please help spread the word and recruit volunteers.
New this year is Online Volunteer Registration. United Way will also have volunteer forms the day of for those that just show up, but they cannot guarantee a T-shirt unless volunteers sign up early online. This is a great opportunity for students to get some service hours in over the summer, as well.
If you cannot volunteer, but would like to sponsor (financial or in-kind) the Day of Action, please reach out to the United Way office at 256-329-3600 for a list of needs. All donations will be used to directly support projects at area schools.
