A Childersburg man was arrested last month on two drug-related charges following a traffic stop.
Deputy Payton was patrolling in the Weogufka area when he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Jameson Mann of Childersburg. After making contact with Mann, Payton was given consent to search the vehicle.
Inside the vehicle Payton discovered a glass pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine and a bag containing a crystal-like substance that field-tested positive as meth.
Mann was arrested on May 18 and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
His total bond for both charges was set at $7,000, and he was released on bond May 19 to await trial.
Anyone who suspects or observes illegal activity is encouraged to report it to the Coosa County Sheriff’s Office at 256-377-4922 or online at www.coosacountyso.org. Anonymous tips are also welcome.
