PROCESS:
Work groups will be formed consisting of members of LLCT to develop and pursue issues of concern with a clear and concise description of the issue, positive recommendations, and solutions with the backing of a large group of LLCT members lending credibility for our requests.
Work groups will research legislation, governmental entities, laws, codes, and ordinances looking for validation and reasons the problems exist. This research will also give us the information we need on the best approach to get things done in a positive and efficient manner with real solutions that work. Those who receive our requests will embrace our requests and hopefully will become advocates for our solutions knowing there are thousands of stakeholders affected.
GUIDING PRINCIPLE:
Under no circumstance should a county, timberland owner, logging company, or a regulated utility be able to damage their customers and property owners with their activities in the area without accountability and liability to repair or remedy. Better yet avoid altogether. This principle applies to all property owners around Lay Lake in Coosa, Talladega and Shelby counties.
