Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held before the Department of Finance of the State of Alabama in Suite E-317 of the Alabama State Capitol, 600 Dexter Ave., Montgomery, Alabama, at 10:00 a.m. on June 6, 2023, to determine whether consent should be given Central Alabama Electric Cooperative (“CAEC”) to (i) borrow from PowerSouth Energy Cooperative under its building loan program (“PowerSouth”) a loan in a maximum principal amount of $1,250,000 to finance the construction of a 50,000 square foot facility and (ii) issue a guaranty for a loan made to its subsidiary, Central Alabama Cooperative Services, Inc., in the amount of $7,625,000 from National Cooperative Services Corporation to finance certain economic development improvements in Autauga and Elmore Counties, Alabama. All of said loan funds for this loan will be used for the purposes stated in Autauga and Elmore Counties, Alabama. Any person having an interest in these matters may attend the hearing and be heard on the question of whether the issuance of said note and the guaranty for the loan serves some public need and is in the public interest.
