Lake Mitchell HOBO (Home Owners and Boat Owners) Association is an all-volunteer organization whose mission is to preserve, protect and improve life on Lake Mitchell.
One of the ways HOBO contributes to the local community is through the sponsorship of the scholarship program. The scholarship program was begun in 2009 with only one scholarship being awarded. In 2016 the program was expanded to award two scholarships to two deserving local graduating seniors.
Individuals can support the HOBO Scholarship program by joining in the family friendly Poker Run by boat at Lake Mitchell on Saturday, June 17. It is a fun-filled event for the whole family. The entry fee is $25 per player, and all proceeds go to the scholarship fund. The winning hand will receive a $500 prize!
Visit the HOBO website at lakemitchellhobo.org for details about the Poker Run.
