Central baseball, Diamond Dolls and softball celebrated this week in their respective senior night ceremonies. At Cougar Field senior baseball player Josh Harrison; who was joined by his mother, Sylvia Harrison; was presented with the 5-year award shadow box, and Ry Gilbert; who was joined by his parents, Keyeria and Corey Brown; received the 6-year award shadow box.
We also honored our senior volunteer Diamond Dolls for their service. Emily Garcia; who was joined by her sister-in-law, Alana Garcia; received the 1-year award; Daeja Cook; who was joined by her parents, Judy Page and Dennis Cook; also received the 1-year award; Makenna Sanders; who was joined by her mom, Charlei Bryant; received the 4-year award; Skylar Newman, who was joined by her friend Corrie Haynes, received the 3-year award; and Grace Calfee, the head Diamond Doll; who was joined by her mom and brother, Chasity and Miles Heath; received the 4-year award. Thank you to the Diamond Dolls for all your years of service to the Central baseball program. Also, thank you to head coach Marvin Pitts and assistant coaches Daryl Ingram and Alan Reeser for dedicating countless hours to our baseball program.
At Doyle Field there was an emotional senior night ceremony to celebrate Mackenzie Cardwell; who was joined by her parents, Valerie Hall and Daryl Cardwell; Alissa Cosby; who was joined by her mom and brother, Katie and Ethan Cosby; and Emma Whaley; who was joined by her parents, Shelly and Brian Whaley. The girls were presented with multiple mementos to celebrate their years of play. There was also a static display of pictures, balloons and plaques left at the field for spectators to view throughout the evening games. Congratulations to all our seniors. Cougar Pride!
