A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, has claimed the life of a Troy man.
Kevin B. Walker, 52, was fatally injured when the 2014 Dodge Avenger that he was driving was struck by a 2001 International tractor-trailer driven by Oleh Kulyk, 27, of Johns Island, South Carolina. Walker was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Adrian K. Knighten, 47, of Lapine, was a passenger in the Avenger and was taken to Baptist Medical Center South for treatment.
The crash occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 82 and U.S. Highway 231 near the 105-mile marker, approximately eight miles south of Montgomery, in Montgomery County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
