Enjoying various fruits of labor

Mr. Levi Leonard is well known in the area for his fresh produce grown in his garden every year. With the arrival of spring and Easter upon us, Leonard shows the starts of his garden for this season, looking forward to seeing it grow and produce. However, he is not just your average gardener enjoying fresh produce he has tended by hand. Leonard, 91 years old, also has a special park at his residence that he has constructed himself over the years. He began building the park in 1997 after he retired from the Alabama Department of Transportation. Featuring various rocks, many of which are painted or showcase other artistic features, the park took 26 years for Leonard to build. Photos submitted by Spencer Hardy Sr.
