With summer break fast approaching, BridgeWays Coosa County has opened up registration for its Summer Day Camp so that area youth have somewhere to go while they are out of school.
The organization will once again be offering day camp on the days that Central Coosa does not have summer learning. The camp offers youth from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade the opportunity to enjoy a broad range of enriching experiences in a safe and secure environment.
Activities for the Summer Day Camp include outdoor games, field trips, service projects, arts, crafts, summer learning initiatives, social skills, team building, and more. Campers are divided by age or grade into small groups led by trained compassionate counselors.
The theme for this year’s program is “Summer Around the World.” Youth are invited to join BridgeWays as they “travel” around the world to explore different cultures and traditions.
The Summer Day Camp will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Parents or guardians who need earlier drop-off or later pickup times, or both, can contact BridgeWays as the organization may be able to accommodate those needs.
All day camps are $85 per week per child or $19 per day per child. Sibling discounts and scholarships are also available. Youth can come for a day, sporadic days, every day, or whatever is needed since the program is flexible.
Friday Summer Camp dates are May 26, June 9, June 16, June 23, and June 30.
Week-long Summer Camp dates are May 30-June 2 (only $68 since it is a 4-day week), July 5-7 (only $51 since it is a 3-day week), July 10-14, July 17-21, July 24-28, and July 31-August 4.
Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and all activities are included in the program prices. Beginning in July, the group will also go on one field trip each week, and that is also included in the program cost.
Registration is now open for the Summer Day Camp program at bridgewayscoosa.campbrainregistration.com. Those registering their children will need to pay a once-a-summer $30 deposit which will hold the child’s spot and includes their T-shirt and water bottle.
The Coosa County BridgeWays Program Center is located north of the 4-way stop in Rockford at 9922 U.S. Highway 231, Rockford.
