An Equality man was arrested earlier this month following a residential burglary that occurred in the same community.
On March 12, a report was filed with the Sheriff’s Office regarding a residence being broken into on County Road 2 in Equality.
Investigators began working the case and determined that 21-year-old Noah Thornton of Equality was responsible for entering the victim’s residence and removing items. Some of the stolen items were recovered and returned to the victim.
Thornton was arrested on March 13 and charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree theft of property.
His total bond was set at $10,000, and as of press time he remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
