Student Government Association (SGA) members have been taking advantage of some of their free time during Spring Break to work on their service projects. Each member of SGA is required to coordinate and lead a service project, as well as assist other members with their service projects. Pictured are Skylar Newman and Corrie Haynes working on decorations for the 34th annual Miss Centroid pageant to be held Saturday, April 8.
Reagan Cardwell was preparing boxes for her clothing drive project. Donations can be dropped off at either Central High School, Rockford Town Hall, or during the Family Festival on April 1. Reagan will then sort the clothes, and the Central students will enjoy a “Shop to you Drop” event in the school lobby.
Also pictured is Caroline Thornton changing out the plants in the front planters as part of her service project of maintaining the planters around the school.
Lastly, Abbigail Mizzell came up to the school to work on her service project with the Coosa Upward youth sports league by helping to enter baseball registration data. The students worked hard, but also enjoyed a lot of laughs and lunch.
