Those interested in starting their own small businesses will have the opportunity to learn more about the process during a special Lunch and Learn event later this month.
Presented by the Alabama Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network; in partnership with the Coosa County Chamber of Commerce, Coosa County Extension Office (ACES) and the City of Goodwater; Starting Your Small Business Lunch and Learn will be held Tuesday, March 28, from 12 to 1 p.m. in Goodwater.
This free program will cover all of the basics of a business startup and where to go for assistance. The program will be led by experienced Alabama SBDC business advisors who have practical experience and are committed to helping individuals in their small business efforts.
Some of the information presented in the one-hour program includes:
- Undertaking a self-assessment
- Your financial feasibility
- Building a business plan
- Licensing and permits
- Financing your small business
- The importance of building your team
Building your own business from the ground up is an exciting opportunity, but is also challenging. Those interested are invited to join this program to learn about the essential steps required to successfully start your own business and learn how to avoid common mistakes that derail great ideas.
The program will be held at the Goodwater Community Center, located at 22012 Alabama Highway 9, Goodwater, 35072. There is no charge to attend.
