Goodwater Housing Authority Invites Comments on Draft Plans
The Goodwater Housing Authority’s (GHA) draft annual and five year plan has been reviewed and discussed at the February Resident Advisory Board Meeting. The Board of Commissioners of the GHA has also reviewed the draft plan and given their consent. The item in the plan, which impacts public housing residents the most, is the Capital Improvement Plan.
The GHA invites all GHA residents and other interested parties to submit comments and suggestions on the draft plan for consideration prior to the adoption of the final plan. The time period allocated to provide public comments begins February 16, 2023, and ends April 13, 2023.

Code §§22-22A-1 to 22-22A-17, as amended, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue a Consent Order to Gary Ingram Grading and Paving, Inc., the owner/operator of a hot-mix asphalt plant facility currently operating under Permit 306-0015-X001 in Alexander City, Coosa County,
Alabama. The violation consisted of emissions escaping capture during the operation of a hot-mix asphalt plant. The Department is proposing a civil penalty in the amount of $6,000. The Order, if issued, would require Gary Ingram Grading and Paving, Inc., to pay the Alabama Department of Environmental Management within 45 days of the effective date, and comply with the terms, limitations, and conditions of the Permit and Department’s regulations immediately.
