TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held before the Department of Finance of the State of Alabama in Suite E-317 of the Alabama State Capitol, located at 600 Dexter Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama, at 2:00 P.M. on January 23, 2023, to determine whether consent should
be given Central Alabama Electric Cooperative (“CAEC”) to incur obligations to the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation for its issuance of a letter of credit in a maximum principal amount of $4,462,548.00 to secure the repayment of RDOF grant funds by
CAEC. All of said grant funds will be used to construct and install broadband and fiber optic facilities and related equipment and capital improvements thereto, as such facilities are located in portions of the Counties of Autauga, Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Lowndes, Perry, Talladega and Tallapoosa, Alabama, to the extent permitted by and in accordance with the RDOF Grant award. Any person having an interest in these matters may attend the hearing and be heard on the question of whether the issuance of said notes and evidences of indebtedness for the loans serves some public need and is in the public interest.
