ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDDER PRE-QUALIFICATIONS & BIDS
Walcott Adams Verneuille Architects, Inc., on behalf of the AltaPointe Health Systems Inc. requests applications for pre-qualification for the following project:
Renovations for Rockford Clinic
This project is a renovation to an existing Outpatient Clinic. The renovation includes repurposing and reconfiguration of several existing rooms, including replacement of existing finish materials due to age and deterioration. Exterior scope includes replacement of roofing panels and new paint. New entry canopies will be added along with a new parking lot surface and upgraded landscaping. The project is located at 9518 US Hwy 31, Rockford, AL 35136.
Contractors shall be licensed to work in the state of Alabama and be able to demonstrate experience in projects of similar size and scope.
Pre-qualification submittals will be received until 4:00 p.m. CT, June 16, 2022, to the office of the and shall be submitted via email, or other electronic transmission only. Please contact Rusty (rusty@wavarchitects.com, 251-928-6041) to request the pre-qualification package.
The pre-qualification procedure is intended to identify responsible and competent prime contractor bidders relative to the requirements the project. Upon review and approval of pre-qualification applications, pre-qualified bidders will be notified by the Architect. Only bidders who have been pre-qualified, will be eligible to bid on this project. The Owner reserves the right to waive technical errors in applications, or abandon the pre-qualification process, should the interest of the Owner appear to be promoted thereby.
SEALED BIDS will be received only from previously PRE-QUALIFIED bidders until 4:00 p.m. CT, July 21, 2022, at the office of the Architect (1 S. School St., Fairhope, Alabama, 36532), at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
A MANDATORY PRE-BID Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. CT July 13, 2022 at the office of the Architect (1 S. School St., Fairhope, Alabama, 36532). Only bidders who have attended this mandatory Pre-Bid Conference on this date and who have been pre-qualified, will be eligible to bid on this project.
A certified check or bid bond payable to AltaPointe Health Systems Inc., in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder’s proposal. Performance and Statutory Labor and Material Payment Bonds will be required at the signing of the Contract.
One set of Bid Documents (printed set & electronic set) will be available to each pre-qualified prime Contractor from Walcott Adams Verneuille Architects, Inc. for the cost of printing and handling. Cost is non-refundable. Only full sets will be distributed. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the office of the Architect. Neither Owner nor Architect will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bid Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. No bids will be considered unless the bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly qualified to submit a proposal for this construction. This shall include, among other qualifications, evidence of holding a current and appropriate license from the State of Alabama Licensing Board. Evidence of license must be shown before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Architect; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying their current license number on the outside of the sealed enveloped in which the proposal is delivered.
This project is being bid, under the provisions of Alabama Act 2000-684, which require the Contractor, in part, to take advantage of the Owner’s tax-exempt status, obtain necessary certificates and other documentation required from the Alabama Department of Revenue, make payment for all materials, and to administer the sales and use tax savings portion of the project, as a part of their Bid.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of the bids without the consent of the Owner.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities in the bidding.
