Housing Authority Invites Comments on Draft Plans
The Goodwater Housing Authority’s (GHA) draft annual and five- year plan has been reviewed and discussed at the March Resident Advisory Board Meeting. The Board of Commissioners of the GHA has also reviewed the draft plan and given their consent. The item in the plan, which impacts public housing residents the most, is the Capital Improvement Plan.
The GHA invites all GHA residents and other interested parties to submit comments and suggestions on the draft plan for consideration prior to the adoption of the final plan. The time period allocated to provide public comments begins March 28, 2022, and ends April 14, 2022.

Maruti Nandan, Inc., 4921 Clerkenwell Street, Montgomery, Alabama is required by ADEM to implement a Corrective Action Plan for remediation of soil and/or groundwater which has resulted from a release from an underground storage tank located at Quality Food Mart, 518 Hwy 9, Equality, Alabama. The site is identified as Facility I.D. Number 23371-037-006742 and Incident Number UST18-01-02. The proposed remediation methods include remediation by mobile enhanced multiphase extraction events and air sparge technology.
Copies of the Corrective Action Plan for Quality Food Mart are available for public inspection electronically via http://adem.alabama.gov/newsEvents/publicNotices.cnt and at the following location Monday – Friday (except legal holidays), 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
