We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, analyze and evaluate electrical facilities, equipment and system performance utilizing the principles of electrical engineering. The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, with one to two years of progressively responsible experience in electric utility planning and design of substations, distribution lines, apparatus and system protection preferred. The Electrical Engineer Administers the SCADA System and trains operators on the use of the system, maintains the Engineering Analysis (EA) model and associated protection databases, monitors and directs power quality activities, ensures distribution system sectionalizing protection and coordination, assures that all substations and line apparatus are properly installed, programmed, and maintained and assists in the short- and long-range organizational planning, directing, policy-making, and problem-solving involved in the effective management of the electric cooperative.
