A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. Monday, April 13, has claimed the life of a Homewood man.
Charles W. Wade, 81, was fatally injured when the 2003 Saturn Ion he was driving struck the 2012 Isuzu NPR Commercial Truck driven by Randall D. Clarke, 24, of Vincent. Wade was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 231 near Lake Shore Drive, approximately six miles west of Pell City, in St. Clair County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
