The Central High School Coosa County Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter proudly hosted its annual Officer Installation Ceremony on November 4, in the Educators in Training classroom (Mrs. Worley’s room) at Coosa County Career Technical Center.
This special event celebrated student leadership, community involvement and the beginning of a new year of service and career development.
During the ceremony, the following students were officially installed as FCCLA Chapter officers: Co-Presidents Kaylyn Gould and Lamiya Harrison; First Vice President Elizabeth Clark; Vice Presidents of Membership Caleb Talton and Kaylyn Gould; Vice President of Community Service Jeffery Yates; Vice President of Public Relations Tatum Larrabee; Vice President of Competitive Events Kelsey Sizemore; Vice President of Finance, Fundraising, Treasurer Micah Parsons; Secretary Adrianna Walker; and Historian Ophelia Gould.
The ceremony highlighted the importance of leadership, teamwork and FCCLA’s mission to strengthen families, careers and communities through service and education-based opportunities.
The chapter also shared upcoming service plans including Parents’ Night Out, a program where members provide a fun, safe evening of activities for local children so parents can enjoy a night of Christmas shopping or holiday preparations. Additional projects this school year will include teacher and staff appreciation events and participation in FCCLA STAR events and leadership competitions.
FCCLA Adviser Lisa Worley expressed appreciation to guests in attendance, stating, “Thank you to our FCCLA families, parents, grandparents, school staff, special guests, and our wonderful guest speaker, Gracey Turner. Your support means so much to our chapter and our student leaders. We are grateful to have you here to celebrate and encourage these young leaders.”
The ceremony concluded with refreshments and photos as families celebrated the accomplishments and bright future of the FCCLA chapter.
Mrs. Worley and the FCCLA officers and members would like to thank our CTE Director, Hester Hamby; our administrators, Brandi Lee and Andy Watson; and Superintendent David Stover for all of their support and guidance with our goals and ideas to make this an amazing year for Central High School at Coosa County FCCLA.
We would also like to thank the Coosa Valley RC&D Council for sponsoring our event. They are a great community partner, and we truly appreciate all they do for us.
