On Monday, January 6, U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.) released the following statement after taking part in Congress’ certification of electoral votes for President-elect Donald Trump.
“I was proud to participate in certifying the election of our nation’s forty-seventh president, Donald J. Trump. His resounding, historic victory in November was a message from the American people that they want a president who will put them first – making America safe, strong and prosperous again. I’m excited for the start of President Trump’s second term, and I look forward to attending his and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance’s inauguration two weeks from today.”
