They sneaked past the Vincent Yellow Jackets with a 79-74 win the Thursday before Christmas break. This was a revenge game for the Cougars; when they faced off against the Yellow Jackets the previous Thursday, they had to take a 59-57 loss.
Central of Coosa County pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Vincent, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.
Returning to school this week, it was a proper cat-fight when Central of Coosa County took on Dadeville on Tuesday. The Central of Coosa County Cougars walked away with a 63-51 win over the Dadeville Tigers. That’s the second time they’ve managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-48 back in December of 2024.
Central of Coosa County’s victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Dadeville, their defeat was their fourteenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.
Central of Coosa County will head out to square off against Childersburg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
