A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:19 a.m. Sunday, January 5, has claimed the life of a Goodwater man.
Briian A. Combest, 28, was fatally injured when the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pickup he was driving left the roadway and struck several trees. Combest was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Coosa County Road 70 near Coosa County Road 41, approximately seven miles south of Sylacauga, in Coosa County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
