A Kellyton woman was arrested late last month for chemical endangerment following an investigation in another county.
Chief Deputy Scott Hammond reported that on November 19, Investigator Ward was contacted by an investigator from Ashland Police Department regarding a chemical endangerment case.
After investigating the case of chemical endangerment, a juvenile tested positive for methamphetamine, amphetamine and fentanyl.
Hammond stated that according to the report the test was believed to be found in an epidural given to the offender prior to the victim’s birth.
The investigation ultimately culminated in the arrest of 25-year-old Hannah Marie Taylor of Kellyton. She was arrested on November 20 on the charge of chemical endangerment of a child.
Taylor’s bond was set at $5,000. As of press time she remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
