Responding to letters
Dear Editor,
Responding to two letters to the editor, “God’s in control” by “Mr. Proud to be an American” and an opinion as to why people hate Donald Trump by Billy Waites.
I cannot speak for anyone else. However, I myself do not hate Donald Trump. I hate what he does with his disrespectful mouth and being childish. A child cannot run this country. Trump needs to grow up before trying to be a leader, and the things he says about women are terrible, just my opinion. Read on some more.
I thank both of these guys for their letters. We need some feedback and others’ points of view on subjects in a respected point-blank way in today’s twisted world. I am very much aware that God is in control, and I do not worry about Trump being. He is not God.
I only trust and worship God, and I read the Bible and respect it (I am a little twisted on the good book). God knows all things and does all things perfectly. Read Romans 8:28 from the Bible. Read Exodus 20:5 and 34:14, reading, “For you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.”
Too many people worship Trump and parties, Democrats, Republicans, etc., but I do not. I worship my God, and I do not have a reason to judge anyone. I have a judge, and His name is God, Jesus and Holy Spirit, all in one. I am a real proud Black American Indian. Only American Indians are real true Americans, and let’s not get it twisted while tap dancing. Indians love to dance, too, but with respect to all mankind and parties.
One of the greatest doctors of all time in Coosa County was a pure American Indian who delivered many babies in Rockford and Coosa County in the 1940s and 50s. His name is Dr. W.H. Goff (deceased), one of the greatest men who ever lived. His grandson, professor Hunter Goff, the great and most talented teacher and musician in the country, has traveled all over the world performing and locally, also. He just performed some weeks ago at Rockford Baptist Church for its 175th church anniversary. He is not too big and proud to sing, praise and give God the glory in his hometown of sweet Alabama.
I wrote some history of Dr. Goff in “The Coosa County News” some years ago, with permission. Read about it if you like. It’s very informative.
Sincerely,
Ruby Johnson Hardman
Rockford, Ala.
