Breaking: Goodwater man dies in motorcycle crash

A Goodwater man was killed in a motorcycle crash early this morning near Oak Grove in Talladega County.
A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:50 a.m. Friday, October 4, has claimed the life of a Goodwater man.
Jeremy R. Jackson, 49, was fatally injured when the 2004 Yamaha YZF600R motorcycle that he was operating left the roadway and struck a ditch before sliding into a culvert. Jackson was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Odens Mill Road near Robertson Road, approximately one mile east of Oak Grove, in Talladega County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
