Coosa County students returned to school Tuesday, August 6, after summer break, and many welcoming faces were on hand to greet them for their first day back.
The Central cheerleaders and their sponsors, Breezy Johnson and Marsala Mitchell, got up extra early the first day of school to get everyone pumped up via the ABC 33/40 News morning broadcast.

Also on hand to greet and encourage the students for the first day of classes were Board of Education members, the Sheriff’s Office and community organizations. Pictures courtesy of PTO president Maressa Ware.
Thank you to students, staff, parents, and community members for making the first day back to school a positive experience for our students.
