The Sheriff’s Office recently arrested three individuals in unrelated cases for outstanding warrants and a probation violation.
On July 26, 47-year-old James Edward Allen of the Stewartville area was picked up from the Clay County Jail for a probation violation in Coosa County.
Upon his arrival at the Coosa County Jail, Allen was arrested by Chief Deputy Scott Hammond. As of press time he remained in custody at the county jail and is being held without bond.
On July 27, 26-year-old Austin Ray Vines of Clanton was picked up by Sgt. Mike Rudd from Chilton County for two Coosa County warrants for violation of release order. As of press time he remained in custody at Coosa County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
On July 30, Deputy Trent Davenport picked up 40-year-old Daniel Craig Barnett of Richville on outstanding warrants for three failure to appear charges. The failures to appear were for third-degree theft of property, resisting arrest and second-degree arson.
Barnett’s total bond for the three FTA charges was set at $203.42. He was released on a written court order on August 6.
