ARRESTS

On July 10, Deputy Shane Payton arrested Scott William McCook Jr., a citizen of Goodwater, on charges of Attempting to Elude, Reckless Driving, Exceeding Speed Limit, Driving on Wrong Side of Road, and Failure to Signal. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $5,800 bond.

On July 11, Lieutenant Bradgel Moon arrested Daja Monique Harrison, a citizen of Birmingham, on the charge of Failure to Comply with Drug Court Sanctions. She was processed into the Coosa County Jail to serve a 48-hour sanction.

On July 11, Investigator Travis Ward arrested Jaden Lawrence Beckwood, a citizen of Kellyton, on charges of Burglary 3rd X 4, Theft of Property (over $2,500), Theft of Property (Less than $500) X 2, and Criminal Mischief 3rd- other. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $66,500 bond.

On July 11, Investigator Troy Middlebrooks arrested Phillip Lavon Bruno, a citizen of Moscow, Tenn., on the charge of Failure to Appear in Court. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with no bond.

On July 11, Deputy James Dawson arrested Jonathan Bradley Varner, a citizen of Sylacauga, on charges of Drug Trafficking and Public Intoxication. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $10,500 bond.

On July 12, Deputy Shane Payton arrested Brian Todd Roberson, a citizen of Sylacauga, on charges of Failure to Appear in Court X 4. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail. Bond information is not available at this time.

On July 12, Deputy Shane Payton arrested Donald Chase Ray, a citizen of Sylacauga, on the charge of Failure to Appear in Court. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $942 cash bond.

On July 12, Deputy Trent Davenport arrested Kanerica Caresha Mae Maxwell, a citizen of Kellyton, on charges of Domestic Violence 3rd and Assault 3rd. She was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $4,000 bond.

STEWARTVILLE

On July 8th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 150 after receiving reports of a vehicle accident. The scene was turned over to ALEA.

On July 9th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 150 to assist ALEA with a traffic stop.

On July 13th, Deputies were dispatched to US-Highway 231 after receiving reports of a truck on fire. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

On July 13th, Deputies were dispatched to US-Highway 231 after receiving reports of an Assault. A report was taken, and the case is under investigation.

WEOGUFKA

On July 8th, Deputies were dispatched to Palmer Road after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies found the vehicle unoccupied.

On July 11th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 55 after receiving reports of a suspicious person. Deputies located the subject in question and gave them a ride.

 

HANOVER

On July 8th, Deputies, Coosa County Rescue 22, Hanover VFD and Sylacauga Ambulance were dispatched to Coosa County Road 49 after receiving reports of a vehicle accident. One person was transported by Coosa County Rescue 22 to a local hospital. The scene was turned over to ALEA.

On July 8th, Deputies were dispatched to US-Highway 280 after receiving reports of a suspicious person. Deputies spoke with the subject, and no report was needed.

On July 9th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 49 after receiving reports of debris in the road. Deputies located the debris and cleared the roadway.

On July 9th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 59 after receiving reports of a downed tree blocking the roadway. Deputies assisted with traffic while Hanover VFD cleared the roadway.

On July 12th, Deputies were dispatched to US-Highway 280 after receiving reports of a fire. Deputies stayed on scene to assist while Hanover VFD worked to put the fire out.

On July 13th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 150 after receiving reports of a residential burglar alarm. The alarm was determined to be false.

 

MT OLIVE

On July 9th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 49 after receiving reports of an unwanted person. Deputies spoke with the subject who left willingly.

On July 10th, Deputies responded to Coosa County Road 511 after receiving reports of a stolen vehicle. A report was taken, and the case is under investigation.

On July 11th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 49 after receiving reports of a domestic in progress. No report was needed.

On July 12th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 49 after receiving reports of a suspicious person. A report was taken.

On July 12th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 511 after receiving a request for a citizen assist. Deputies stayed on scene for a civil standby.

On July 8th, Deputies were dispatched to McClellan Road after receiving a request for citizen assist. No report was needed.

On July 8th, Deputies were dispatched to AL-Highway 9 after receiving reports of a reckless driver. Deputies located the subject, but they did not violate any traffic laws.

On July 9th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 77 after receiving reports of a disabled motorist. Deputies assisted the motorist with changing their tire.

On July 11th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 85 after receiving reports of a fight. A report was taken.

On July 12th, Deputies were dispatched to US-Highway 280 after receiving reports of an unwanted person. It was determined to be a civil matter.

On July 12th, Deputies were dispatched to Long Tree Drive after receiving reports of a domestic dispute. An arrest was made.

On July 13th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 81 after receiving a request for a citizen assist. A report was taken for someone unlawfully cutting trees on his land.

On July 13th, Deputies were dispatched to AL-Highway 9 after receiving reports of an abandoned car. The car was towed.

On July 13th, Deputies were dispatched to US-Highway 280 after receiving reports of a suspicious person. Deputies were not able to make contact with the subject.

On July 14th, Deputies, Kellyton VFD, Rockford VFD , and Alex City VFD were dispatched to US Highway 280 after receiving reports of a vehicle fire. The fire was extinguished, and the vehicle was towed by Patterson Towing.

 

RICHVILLE

On July 11th, Deputies were dispatched to AL-Highway 22 after receiving reports of a downed tree blocking the roadway. Deputies stayed on scene while Richville VFD and Rockford VFD cleared the roadway.

On July 13th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 14 after receiving reports of a vehicle accident due to a downed tree. Deputies stayed on scene while Richville VFD cleared the roadway, and the scene was turned over to ALEA.

 

ROCKFORD

On July 8th, Deputies were dispatched to US-Highway 231 after receiving reports of a Theft of Property. A report was taken, and the case is under investigation.

On July 9th, Deputies were dispatched to AL-Highway 22 after receiving reports of a domestic dispute. A report was taken.

On July 11th, Deputies were dispatched to AL-Highway 22 after receiving reports of a suspicious person. A report was taken, and the case is under investigation.

COTTAGE GROVE/ HISSOP

On July 8th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 133 after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was found unoccupied, and it was determined that it belonged to an employee.

On July 13th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 93 after receiving reports of a domestic dispute. Deputies determined there was no dispute, and no report was needed.

 

RAY

On July 9th, Deputies were dispatched to AL-Highway 9 after receiving reports of a disabled motorist. Deputies assisted the motorist with getting a tow truck.

On July 11th, Deputies were dispatched to AL-Highway 259 to assist Alabama Power with traffic control while they worked.

 

LAKE MARTIN

On July 8th, Deputies were dispatched to Kowaliga Cove after receiving reports of a residential burglar alarm. The alarm was determined to be false.

 

WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT

On July 8th, Deputies and Richville VFD were dispatched to Lodis Lane after receiving reports of a brush fire. The fire was contained, and the scene was turned over to Alabama Forestry.

On July 8th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 29 after receiving reports of a tree down across power lines. Deputies stayed on scene until Alabama Power cleaned up and secured the area.

 

LAKE MITCHELL

On July 9th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 110 after receiving reports of Theft of Property. A report was taken, and the case is under investigation.

 

SMYRNA

On July 8th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 48 after receiving reports of a civil dispute. A report was taken.
