A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:34 a.m. Friday, June 28, has claimed the life of a Heflin man.
Bryan D. Collins, 63, was fatally injured when the 2007 Ford Ranger he was driving collided with the 2023 Freightliner tractor trailer driven by Terry H. Ray, 65, of Cusseta.
Collins was pronounced deceased at the scene. Ray was transported to Regional Medical Center in Anniston for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 431 near the 212-mile marker, approximately eight miles south of Heflin, in Cleburne County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
