On Tuesday, youth attending Goodwater Public Library’s Summer Reading Program had a special guest and were honored with an award-winning author reading to them.
The library hosted Negrita Smart for Tuesday’s program. A Dadeville native, Smart was recently announced as winning second place for her book “Grace Loves her Neighbor” at The BookFest Awards for Spring 2024.
Smart visited the Goodwater Library, read to the youth in attendance and participated in an activity with youth as part of the program.
The Goodwater Public Library will wrap up its annual Summer Reading Program with the last day being Tuesday, June 25, at 10 a.m. The library is located at 62 County Road 66, next to the Goodwater Post Office.
