Congratulations to Minister LaJarrell Hill who has been ordained and has it all wrapped up in God’s hand now. An ordination service was held for him on Sunday, May 19, at Rockford First Baptist Church.
The ordination sermon was done by Pastor Mark Leonard of Union #1 Missionary Baptist Church of Titus. Subject: A Divine Mission, coming from Jeremiah 1:1-17. Jesus already knew LaJarrell was a preacher before he and anyone else knew. God said always go and be ready. Pastor Leonard was on fire, with the anointed all over him, causing the whole church to get caught up in the flame.
I have never heard Pastor Leonard preach like that before. It was so awesome that Leonard got himself happy. The Holy Ghost had its way. There was no hindrance whatsoever.
Report of the council and vows of ordination were done by pastors of other churches, including Pastor Robert Williams of Peace and Goodwill, Pastor Jesse Blackmon of Bethlehem, Pastor Bobby Montgomery of Good Grove, Pastor James Miliner, Pastor Ernest Corbin, and Pastor Fred Lee, who did the ordination prayer with laying on of hands. The presentation of the certificate of ordination was done by Pastor Stanford Benson.
It was a wonderful service. I am very proud of Minister Hill. I have to laugh sometimes, thinking about when he was a little young fellow telling his cousins about me when I would get happy in church and start to dance and shout. He would say, “Aunt Ruby was breakdancing.”
They would come back and tell me what he said. I laughed and said one day he is going to breakdance in church, because I saw it in him as a young boy when he would sing songs, that he would preach one day and breakdance for the Lord, his God, the Almighty, the Most High, and now my big boy is doing it all (LOL). I pray God will continue to use him for His glory!
I love you, LaJarrell. Keep serving the Lord and don’t let anything block you from your blessings.
Prayers go out to the Whetstone family in the loss of my classmate Mr. Frank Whetstone, and to all other bereaved families.
Happy birthday to Paula Burton Hamilett, Rayford Crayton, Anita Patterson, Peggy Crayton, Raymond Abrams, Joseph Carden, and last but not least, to the love of my life, Butch Hardman. Happy birthday to all June babies.
