Family, friends and faculty celebrated the graduating class of 2024 in a faith-based graduation service Sunday evening at the Weogufka Family Worship Center. Members of the worship team, Tabitha Hyatt and Megan Ward, welcomed guests with worship songs. Student Government Association (SGA) member Tasaun Harrell emceed the event, as well as sang the national anthem, and seniors Rebekah Burton, Tasuan Harrell, McKay Kelley, and Brieasia Tuck sang “No Weapon.”
Thank you to pastor Tommy Thornton for delivering a message of encouragement to our seniors as they prepare to enter the next season in their life.
The presentation “Class of 2024 Then and Now” included pictures submitted by seniors from their childhood and formal senior tux and drape pictures, which brought both tears and cheers. SGA president Rebekah Burton provided the closing remarks and benediction before attendees made their way to the fellowship hall to enjoy refreshments and fellowship.
Thank you, also, to Jonathan Hyatt for providing audio visual services. The excitement of the week was starting to mount as we got a first official look at the seniors in their cap and gown.
