A foot pursuit ultimately led to the arrest of a Goodwater man on multiple charges earlier this week.
On April 30, Deputy Dawson was in the Goodwater area when he reportedly observed an individual he had knowledge of having felony warrants.
When Dawson approached him, however, the suspect fled on foot. He was later detained and apprehended.
The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Beniah Bradford of Goodwater. While patting him down, Dawson found methamphetamine and a synthetic narcotic on him.
This culminated in the arrest of Bradford on Tuesday, being charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of a synthetic narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia, and attempting to elude a police officer.
Bradford’s total bond was set at $15,000. As of press time he remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
