Through the years: Jaden Tuck was a well-mannered young man and has grown to be a wonderful and well-mannered man. We are proud of him and his achievements. Congratulations, Jaden!

In last week’s column, my niece Gloria Faye Hunter’s name was overlooked with her other siblings. My bad, Faye. I will make up for it. I love you much.
We are truly missing Mrs. Carrie L. Lawrence. It doesn’t seem real; however, we know it’s real. We celebrated her home-going celebration on April 18, held at New Home Baptist Church in Rockford, officiated by Minister Terrence Stamps, with much affection. He spoke very kindly of her, and he preached from II Corinthians 5, “There is More Beyond.” He did a fantastic job.
Minister Stamps is an anointed wise young man. I love to hear him preach on any occasion, and a home-going service is no exception.
We congratulate Jaden Tuck on his great achievement. He never ceases to amaze me. He has always done great things since he was a small boy, and not only in sports.
First, I want you to know that he loves God. He attends church services every Sunday and whenever possible. He is a great musician, one of the greatest drummers in the world and the best in Alabama!
When Butch and I see him after a period of time I ask Butch, “Do you remember Jaden,” especially after he grew a beard. Butch says to me, “Ruby, how can I forget? I see him every day on the refrigerator and in the photo album.” Butch loves Jaden as much as I do. From the first time Butch met him, he said that Jaden was a wonderful and well-mannered young son to someone, and now after some years have passed, he sees the follow-up is still there, and we pray it will continue to forever be, believing it will.
Happy birthday to all May babies.
