Seventh grader LaBroadus Mitchell always does his work to the best of his ability. He has a cheerful attitude almost every time you see him. He is very respectful and kind to whomever he talks to, both students and staff. According to Ms. Belyeu, LaBroadus is one of her most improved students. He makes sure to take meticulous notes and asks questions for clarification. In addition, he has begun to be more vocal in the classroom, participating in classroom discussions and frequently answering questions. Congratulations, LaBroadus, it is always a joy to watch our students grow academically!

Eighth grader Amiya Jackson is very kind in all her interactions with peers and faculty. She is willing to put forth effort and put in the work that is necessary to improve. She was well received at the FCCLA State Meeting and took judge comments into consideration and is already making plans to compete with improvement next year. Amaiya also has a contagious positive energy. Congratulations, Amaiya!

Ninth grader Jacob Stevens is a conscientious student who also has good attendance. In class, Jacob is engaged in the lessons, maintains a positive attitude and goes above and beyond on projects. When Jacob misses class because of baseball, he is diligent in completing his missed lessons and communicates with his teacher any questions he has regarding missed lessons. Jacob is a utility player for Central baseball, playing most of the positions. After graduation, Jacob plans to be an electrical worker and lineman. He likes to socialize in school and maintain good grades. Jacob has had all A’s and B’s and perfect attendance for the last three nine weeks. Congratulations, Jacob!

Tenth grader Reese Lee is a joy to have in class. She is always cheerful, respectful and willing to help out whenever needed. She is very involved in both her academics and extracurricular activities. She is a dual enrollment student at Central Alabama Community College. She is also a member of Beta Club, FBLA and Media Club, as well as a member of the Lady Cougars softball team. Congratulations, Reese!

Eleventh grader Michael Thomas is an outstanding young man. He goes out of his way to help others, often without being asked. He is always positive and respectful to both his classmates and his teachers. Michael is a member of the Central Honor Guard, posting our nation’s colors at various events around the school and county, and a member of the Pride of Coosa County band. Congratulations, Michael!

Twelfth grader Ethan Strong is an outstanding young man, with a very positive attitude. He is always respectful and willing to help whenever needed. He is a positive role model for others and represents our school very well. He is a member of JAG, the Media Club and is a member of the Cougar baseball team. He recently won The Grit Award from Chick-fil-A for his school spirit and commitment to academics and athletics. This past summer he coached fourth through sixth grade students in the Coosa Upward youth baseball league. Ethan is an asset to our school and community. Congratulations, Ethan!
