Joel Dean Glover

Funeral service for Mr. Joel Dean Glover, 61, of Rockford, will be Friday, April 12, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Rockford Baptist Church. Dr. Jeffrey Fuller will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Rockford Baptist Church. Burial will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Greenhill Cemetery in Killen.
Mr. Glover passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at his residence. He was born on May 9, 1962, in Florence, Alabama, to Donald Dean Glover and Mary Ann Huff Glover. He was a faithful member of Rockford Baptist Church. Joel graduated from Mississippi State University with a Masters Degree in wildlife ecology. He worked as a Certified Wildlife Biologist while serving as Game Warden for Central Alabama. Joel was an avid hunter and an outdoorsman at heart. He dearly loved educating the public on the stewardship and conservation of natural resources, serving many regional, state, and national organizations.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Melanie Glover of Rockford; children, Justin Dean Glover of Portland, Maine, and Caleb Thomas Glover of Rockford; mother-in-law, Eudora Myrick of Camden, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Pete Mangum of Florence; and niece, Erin Mangum of Killen; as well as his extended family, including his law enforcement brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly Mangum; and father-in-law, Jerry Myrick.

Vivian Nannette Owens
Funeral service for Vivian Nannette Owens, of Sylacauga, was Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Curtis and Son North Chapel with Pastor Samuel Cardoso officiating. Burial followed at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Seth Owens, Caleb Owens, Spencer Kerley, Jeff Jones, Tim Lowery, and Buster Lowery.
Ms. Owens passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
Vivian is survived by her mother, Christine Owens of Sylacauga; her sisters, Brendia Bennett (Nathan), Linda Rutledge, Ruby Jo Clark (David), and Shelly Faye Adkins; her brothers, Curtis Larenzo Owens (Detta), Lewis “Eddie” Owens (Tina) and Kelvin Lynn Owens (Carolyn); 17 nieces and nephews; 31 great-nieces and nephews.
Vivian was preceded in death by her father, Eulis Owens, and was retired from the U.S. Army.

Billy Jeffrey Stalnaker
Funeral service for Mr. Billy Jeffrey Stalnaker, 82, of Goodwater, was Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Minister James Cullins officiated. Burial followed in the Hillview Memorial Park.
Mr. Stalnaker passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center East. He was born on June 17, 1941, in East Tallassee, Alabama, to Willie Stalnaker and Grace Carter Stalnaker. He was an active member and deacon of Bethany Baptist Church. Mr. Stalnaker was owner and operator of Stalnaker AC Service for over 40 years. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Stalnaker was a simple man that enjoyed the simple things in life, but most of all loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and coaching little league sports.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pauline Stalnaker; sons, Barry Stalnaker and Shane Stalnaker (Debbie); grandchildren, Clay Barker, Lauren Powell (Ashlee), and Hampton Stalnaker; great-grandchildren, Annabella Skarecky, Charleston Powell, and Kace Powell; sister, Cheryl Daugherty (Tommy); and mother-in-law, Palestine Bradford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Judy Henley; and brother, Charles Stalnaker.
