Great Neighborhood Watch meeting

Union Square’s Neighborhood Watch meeting went very well with a sweet spirit in the air. I believe every other month for the meetings makes a difference. We missed each other and were happy to see everyone. We all looked fresh and were ready to meet.
We were happy to have Pastor Matthew Reams join us, as well as Jamey Johnson. They both are nice men, running in the marathon together, a tribute to Coosa County circuit clerks. Whoever gets to the finish line first wins the race.
Johnson and Reams both spoke highly of each other, with a big smile and a warm handshake. There is no finish line for these two men. They are already winners. They still work hard for Coosa County, even after retirement from great jobs.
Johnson explained how you can vote in the April 16 run-off election. If you did not vote on March 5, whether you are Republican or Democrat, you can vote. He complimented Judge Dean on how well he does on explaining voting situations, and I agree. He is the best, and some of those workers should take heed to Judge Dean’s teaching and straighten up on their attitude!
Reams spoke on how important it is for him to serve in Coosa County. He also shared with me, after the meeting, how a young boy in his church came to him and wanted to be saved, and that inspired another one to come and asked to be saved. That blessed me to hear that. If a child wants more of Jesus and to encourage another, that’s awesome. We adults should be the same way. Where are the real Christians?
Deputy Rudd did the sheriff’s report and complimented Union Square for having a clear record – no negative reports happening in the Square; all positive, except two beautiful fur babies escaped, a male and female, brown and one has a light spot, I believe on the female. They are in good shape and well taken care of. The owner really loves those rescue babies and has taken extra care for them. Please call 256-935-1330 if you spot them, and leave a message if there is no answer. We will forever be grateful.
Happy birthday to Cody Schmidt, Pastor Matthew Reams, Pastor Ivor Smith, John Kaden Johnson, Tia White, Joe Crayton, and to all April babies.
Happy anniversary and bonded love of 38 years to Johnny and Robin Schmidt on April 6, from the Union Square crew, with love.
Our prayers continue to go out to Commissioner Ronnie Joiner.
