Lifeskills students took a field trip to Triple R Cafe in Rockford recently. Students placed their orders by themselves using either a standard menu or a picture menu. The students also practiced paying their bill using math skills of rounding up to the next dollar. Paraprofessional Tabitha Hyatt said, “Matthew Reams and the staff at Triple R were fantastic! He was so kind and insisted on taking care of our bill!”
The students have been practicing these lifeskills during the past nine weeks, and this was their reward for a job well done. Thank you to Mrs. Hyatt for sharing pictures and information and ensuring all our students are prepared for their future.
