The staff of BridgeWays Coosa County is excited to have the opportunity to partner with the Central Elementary School (CES) after-school bi-monthly. The students participating in the after-school program recently had an opportunity to participate in a pen-pal program with BridgeWays’ Camp Fletcher after-school program, located in Western Jefferson County. The youth of the two programs have been matched up with a “pal” and are handwriting each other notes every few weeks. Pictured are some of our CES students receiving their first mailed response from their pen pal. Many adults were excited to see the lost art of writing letters rekindled in our students.
