To kick off their study of the Industrial Revolution, ninth grade world history students are creating replicas of early inventions using resources they could easily find around school and home. Students also wrote museum card labels which included the inventor, year of the invention and most importantly how the invention revolutionized industry.
To replicate the invention process of the 1700s, the students are competing to see who will best re-create the original invention. Judges will be upperclassmen who completed the project themselves as freshmen.
