The state winners of the 2022 Alabama PALS (People Against A Littered State) Governor’s Awards will be announced and recognized at the Alabama PALS Governor’s Awards Program on November 8 at the Renaissance Hotel in Montgomery at 12 p.m.
The Annual Governor’s Awards Program, which is sponsored by Alabama PALS, recognizes statewide groups, cities, counties, and individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment in the areas of litter control, recycling, local cleanup efforts, environmental education, and volunteerism.
In addition to the annual Governor’s Awards categories, PALS will recognize and present scholarships to the winners of the 2022-23 Alabama Clean Campus Program statewide competition. The Clean Campus Program focuses on implementing litter education and recycling programs in Alabama schools.
Alabama PALS coordinates the annual “Don’t Drop it on Alabama” Statewide Spring Cleanup, the Alabama Adopt a Mile and Stream programs with ALDOT, the Alabama Clean Campus Program, and the Annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup with ADCNR.
