Keith Bullard Football Stadium recently received multiple upgrades to its facilities. The most noticeable is the 1,600 square foot Cougar Field House.
For decades the football team has trekked up and down the hill before, during and after games to the field house adjacent to the former Central High School. Athletics now have a field house located at field level. In addition, the field house includes a hospitality room for officials and handicap accessible bathrooms for spectators.
Improvements also included handicap parking next to the field house, as well as a viewing platform, which is wheelchair accessible. Join us at Keith Bullard Stadium this fall to support Cougar football.
Joe N. Belyeu Gymnasium also recently received multiple upgrades to its facilities. The most noticeable are the new bleachers, including a section of stadium seats, which replaced the old wooden bleachers. New Plexiglass backboards were installed, as well as energy-saving LED lighting and a renovated lobby, including new flooring. Join us at Joe N. Belyeu Gymnasium this fall to support Lady Cougar volleyball.
Central Head Start, serving children 6 months to 4 years old, and the Coosa County Extension Office, serving the people of Coosa County to improve their lives, are now located in the former Central High School adjacent to the current Central Coosa schools.
We are thankful for these improvements which allow us to better serve our students and our community.
