The new Coosa County Ambulance is now operational, after much time spent going through the process to establish the new county-wide service, secure the ambulance and have it stocked and staffed.
Hollie Osbourn, Coosa County EMS director, was excited to announce that they received their license to operate Wednesday, July 5.
The Coosa County Ambulance, based in Rockford, will be available to begin running calls as of tomorrow, July 8. Their first shift begins at 9 a.m., and the ambulance will be a 24-hour service.
“We are here to serve the citizens of Coosa County and provide the highest standard of care you deserve,” Osbourn said.
