A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3:19 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, has claimed the life of an Anniston man.
Davis M. Turner, 20, a pedestrian, was standing in the roadway on Priebes Mill Road when he was struck by a 2007 Ford Explorer driven by Loyd Brown, 59, of Anniston.
Turner, who was the driver involved in a previous crash, exited his vehicle and was standing in the roadway prior to being struck by the Ford. Turner was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash, which occurred on Priebes Mill Road, approximately five miles north of Talladega, in Talladega County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
