A Stewartville man was arrested earlier this month on a domestic violence and related charges following a call to the Sheriff’s Office.
On May 8 Deputy Payton was called out to Live Oaks Lane in the Stewartville area for a domestic violence case in progress involving weapons. Upon arriving at the scene, he conducted an investigation into the call.
Payton located a victim who had suffered injuries from being struck, or physically hit, with a firearm numerous times.
The investigation ultimately led to the arrest of 46-year-old Nathan Paschal of Stewartville that same day. He was charged with second-degree domestic violence, menacing and interference with a domestic violence emergency call.
Paschal’s total bond for all three charges was set at $20,000. He was released on bond on May 9 to await trial.
