Mrs. Hughes has been serving as an educator at Central for 16 years. She is currently one of the librarians at Central High School (CHS), as well as the manager of Chromebooks for K-12 students. Mrs. Hughes is also the sponsor of multiple extra activities, including the Media Club, Sunshine Club, Daily Cougar Broadcasting Network news broadcast, the CHS Webpage, CHS Front Hall Announcements, and Google Admin. Mrs. Hughes said her goal is for our students to recognize their potential and realize how truly amazing they are. She added, “My prayer for them is that they take the time to see themselves as we see them and accept that they have so much to give this world.”
Her advice to our students, “Do not underestimate yourselves, do not sell yourselves short, and do not concede to mediocrity. Stand tall and proud. Shine brightly. The world needs your light.”
When asked what she loves most about our school, Mrs. Hughes said, “Our students. We have the best students in the world.”
