TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held before the Department of Finance of the State of Alabama at the State Capitol, Room E-315, located at 600 Dexter Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama, at 1:00 P.M. on February 17, 2022, to determine whether consent should be given Central Alabama Electric Cooperative (“CAEC”) to borrow from the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (i) a loan in a maximum principal amount of $32,000,000 to finance capital improvements to portions of Petitioner’s broadband fiber optics system and related equipment and capital improvements thereto, and (ii) a loan in the maximum principal amount of $63,058,670 to finance capital improvements to Petitioner’s electric distribution system pursuant to its work plan.
All of said loan funds for these loans will be used to finance poles, wires, transformers, security lights, substations, fiber optics cable, and other electric and fiber optic facilities and the related labor costs and other capital expenditures in the Counties of Autauga, Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Lowndes, Perry, Talladega and Tallapoosa, Alabama.
Any person having an interest in these matters may attend the hearing and be heard on the question of whether the issuance of said notes and evidences of indebtedness for the loans serves some public need and is in the public interest.
