LEGAL NOTICE
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held before the Department of Finance of the State of Alabama at the State Capitol, Room E-315, located at 600 Dexter Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama, at 11:30 A.M. on April 21, 2021, to determine whether consent should be given Central Alabama Electric Cooperative (“CAEC”) to borrow from the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation to issue a letter of credit to secure the repayment of RDOF Grant funds in a maximum principal amount of $1,487,516.00, to be used by CAEC to finance poles, fiber optic cable, and other related facilities and related equipment and capital improvements thereto to broadband system.
All of said grant funds will be used to construct and install broadband and fiber optic facilities and related facilities as such facilities are located in the portions of the Counties of Autauga, Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Lowndes, Perry, Talladega and Tallapoosa, Alabama as required by and in accordance with the RDOF Grant award.
Any person having an interest in these matters may attend the hearing and be heard on the question of whether the issuance of said notes and evidences of indebtedness for the loans serves some public need and is in the public interest.
